Harry Potter: The 10 Worst Things Vernon Dursley Did To Harry, Ranked

There are a great many villains in the Harry Potter series. When you think of antagonists Harry must face, your mind most likely drifts to Dolores Umbridge, Bellatrix Lestrange, or Lord Voldemort. But we can’t forget about the Dursleys. Despite being Muggles, they were responsible for a great deal of pain and misfortune in Harry’s life before he was eventually allowed to go to Hogwarts.

All three Dudleys, Petunia, Vernon, and Dudley executed their unique brand of misery on Harry but perhaps the worst of all was Vernon. Some of Dudley’s behavior can be explained away by the way he was raised, and the fact he started to change his tune towards the series’ end. Even Petunia had some reasons for why she acted the way she did. But Vernon only acted out of cruelty. It’s hard to pinpoint only ten terrible things he did to Harry but we did our best.

Harry Potter: 10 Things You Never Knew About Mad-Eye Moody

Alastor “Mad-Eye” Moody is first introduced to us during Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, both film and book version. He was an accomplished Auror and extremely skilled at capturing dark wizards. According to the text, half the cells in Azkaban were filled because of Moody’s actions. Unfortunately, we don’t get to spend a lot of time with him as he was kidnapped by Barty Crouch Jr.

The version of Moody we meet in book four is actually Crouch in disguise by using Polyjuice Potion. By the time Moody is rescued, he has become increasingly paranoid, and who could blame him? Sadly, he meets his maker in book seven and is one of the first major casualties of the newly reformed Order. Still, Moody is a fascinating character. Here are ten things you might not know about him.

Students in attendance at Hogwarts are generally reprimanded and guided by the professors and headmaster. However, the school also tasks certain students who show exemplary maturity and responsibility with assisting in those duties. These students are known as Prefects.

Sam Raimi’s new horror anthology series 50 States of Fright finds its cast

Quibi is shaping up to be the next streaming service to beat. Sam Raimi’s upcoming horror anthology, 50 States of Fright, will be hosted on the site.

We recently reported that Quibi would feature an intriguing twist on the house-flipping television we all know and love by introducing a true-crime element. But that’s not the only spooky series you’ll be able to watch on the upcoming streaming platform. Deadline reports Quibi has given Sam Raimi the green light for his new horror series.

The show will be an anthology titled 50 States of Fright. It boasts an impressive cast, including Christina Ricci, Travis Fimmel, Rachel Brosnahan, Jacob Batalon, Ming-Na Wen, Taissa Farmiga, Asa Butterfield, Ron Livingston, and John Marshall Johns. Each actor listed will star in at least one episode of 50 States of Fright.

NYCC: The Grudge (2020) debuts new footage and the cast teases lots of gore

NYCC is going on this weekend, and during The Grudge (2020) panel, the stars of the film discussed just how terrifying the twisted remake will be.

If you’ve ever seen the original Grudge films, whether it be the Japanese movie Ju-On: The Grudge or the American remake starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, you know how terrifying these movies are. Next year we’re getting a brand new take on The Grudgebrought to us by horror master Sam Raimi and director Nicolas Pesce.

During The Grudge panel at NYCC, Raimi, Pesce, and film stars Betty Gilpin, Andrea Riseborough, and Lin Shaye assembled to tease what to expect from the next chapter.

I admit I wasn’t super familiar with Lifetime Movie Network movies. I generally stick with the regular Lifetime channel, but Smuggling in Suburbia and last night’s Working Mom’s Nightmare have shown me two critical differences between the channels.

One, LMN movies are pretty grim, more on this later. Two, the endings are super abrupt. I guess I’m used to the cheesy epilogues at the end of every Lifetime movie. But at least they tell you what happened to everyone!
